ATLAST Pandemic Exercise

The majority of the blog posts on Saturday January 22, 2011, were from an academic exercise using the scenario of a pandemic breakout. None of this information is factual.

The doctor team of Chase, Jordyn, Sonia, Lily, and Rita reported that they interviewed 3 victims of the current pandemic. The doctors said they quarantined only victim two because he was in the final stages of the disease as indicated by his jumping jack seizures. The doctors allowed allowed the other two victims to simply walk away despite the high level of contagion indicated by the E.M.S. No injections were given to combat the disease, and this reporter cannot understand how the medical community couls allow this catastrophe to grow unchecked. When the doctors became aware of the level of urgency we expressed because of the information shared with the news community, they immediately closed down the bus red line. The Mesa Tribunal News is baffled by the disconnect between these teams on a life or death issue.

At MCC, this morning at 8:00, the first victim of a rapidly spreading disease was discovered and that number had increased to hundreds before noon today. Symptoms include headache, nausea, increased heartrate, general flu-like symptoms-all similar to a pandemic in outlying areas. This disease can be treated in the first 24 hours with an injection.
